3rd September 2007

Meeting Declared Open at 7:40pm

1. Progressive Dinner with Ansey 15th December invitation

2. Pt. Norlunga Regatta 29th February to 2nd March 2008 invitation

Activities Report:

1. Den clean/fix up and movie night: Den looks awesome all clean, Good night BBQ outside good touch

2. City to bay: Jess is a Retard. wet day. waited ages for Adrians parmy

3. Sand Blast: good event more planning needed in future events. view area needs to be improved. not enough non car related activities. night parties were good.

Treasurer’s Report:

5. Starting Kullari buggy fund

General Business:

1. Selling windows and engine from wiraway den, proceeds go to buggy fund.

2. fund raising ideas: Landscaping job Saturday 6th September Adrian will source more details, proceeds to go to buggy fund.

* Yellow Pages Delivery, funds to go to Kullari Rovers James to find out more info.

* Shnitty Cup Dry run planned for 30th November Adrian and Matt to organise. Promotion material already designed and ready for printing

3. Cow Pat bingo (Flash Rover Crew) 13/14th October, Adrian, Jess, James, Shaun & Matt are interested in going

4. Recruitment activity: * 1 new perspective

* HQ not assisting to much with contact numbers for Venturer leaders.

5. Squire projects: * Erica to build Key coffee table in den

* Jess to update photo boards and Old boys board

6. James & Jess need to go to BRC

KULLARI ROVER CREW MEETING

24th Oct 2007

Minutes from previous meeting accepted by Matt and Adrian

Correspondence:

1. Sandblast stubby holder and rover Red shirt order form.

2. Rover ball invite 24th Nov.

3. Rover constitution changes and rule change.

4. New Rover Crew called Maverick notice.

Activities Report:

1. Cow Pat bingo – everyone got burnt. Ado had a cry about Minky winning all the time. All agreed we should have stayed the night.

2 .Buggy Observation day – Buggy’s is to far gone possible car buggy planned. Landscaping fund raising, hard work great result from a mornings work.

Treasurer’s Report:

1. People monies are due soon fees.

2. No buggy fund as yet dam branches. Branches are inconvenient.

3. Cheque signatories need to be changed from Greg to Matt.

General Business:

1. Squire projects: * James, web site looks good.

* Jess is lazy photos are not done.

* Erica’s keg table is coming along well.

2. Shnity cup dry run. Shaun advised 6 people from his venture unit are keen. Matt to organize the trailblazers venturer crew member. Hall will be used or den if hall not available. Meat to be sourced from good butchers in Para hills.

3. Buggy progress: Old boy frame buggy’s Is not feasible to repair. Idea for cheap car with cage made up . Kit buggy on the cards lots of time and welding to be done. More money needed. Budget needed, pricing for cage and harness. Adrian to visit engineering place for idea of price on cage.

4. Fundraising ideas: Adrian looking for general labor work, Adrian’s parents are maybe

Activities Report:

Wine moot: drinking the night before was not a good idea, everyone had a awesome day/s.

Rover Ball: OK, Ado dropped a 6pack on the floor, died down very every. Adrian won .best Male Hair.

Starcraft and Curry night at Dan & Minky’s was awesome Adrian’s made a awesome vindaloo. Plenty of LAN games fun had by all

Treasurer’s Report:

Finances are good. Still monies in account. BRC Levy due. Signatories need be changed on access account. Petty cash account to be set up with net bank and card access everyone voted for this

General Business:

Matt has created recruit folder, invitation letters and call have been made from Matt to possible recruits.

Schnitty cup info has been sent with crew timetable. Scnitty cup dry run all se for Friday 30th Nov. approx 10 people coming. Shnittys booked.

Fund raising: Wine sales. 5 cartons of wine for sale for $5 a bottle, General Jobs at Ado’s parents. Adrian looking for odd jobs. Chocolate fundraising at Erica’s and in the den a.k.a chocolates form Cambles cash and carry.

Activity Ideas: K.I.D. Kullari In the Den Night. Pack hike camp, more hikes and proper camps, outdoor rock climbing.

Squire Project: Eric’s Keg table is almost finished, Jess has had slow progress on the photo updating

Buggy Progress: Gemmi has been secured, currently resides at James and Jess’ ready for stripping and measuring.

Progressive dinner: locations and courses to be organizing

Overview of past year from Crew chair:

Matt happy with progress new projects started recruiting started

Good effort for crew activities Blood drive again service needed more scout train encourage more active activities and crew ideas.

Overview of past year from Crew Treasurer:

Adrian agrees with Matt. Adrian admitted he was Impressed with Matt moving into chair role, need to be more active in make other people welcome

So far the crew is $90 down this year, golf monies are still awaiting. Adrian has talking beer only monies incoming and out going is only fee\overheads

minutes are working ok now web site is good with this information, to do list idea for implantation on a meeting by meeting basis

Activities Report:

Programming Day– BBQ had by all and some ideas taken ideas taken for crew activities

Surf Moot – Awesome, lots of drinks and shenanigans. Matt and Adrian went. Clear water, sand and sun. Awesome road trip

General Business:

Membership forms - DO ASAP James & Jess

Squire training – Review of tasks/requirements to ensure relevance. E.g Basic knots used frequently. Adrian to put forward proposal for new booklet.

Chicken Shnitty Cup – trial run worked really well, Proposed date Friday 2nd of May. Promotional materials to be distributed ASAP.BBQ, Hot chips and drinks provided, charge per shnitty (to cover costs) Venturers to be self sufficient with toppings and cooking utensils

KID – Organised by James & Jess. In Den and Hall. Markey/Tent/Tarp City a possibility, proposed date June 7th. Hall availability and cost needed. Den cleaning token party food need to be organised. Bribe Minky for jelly shots. Put on a cases of beer for crew. Bring stereo for music. Door fee $5 (cover den hire and foods)

Fundraising – Adrian is looking for non-skilled manual labour, Door fee from KID & entry fee from shnitty cup

Buggy – Cash needed urgently. $230 for steel + $400 for mandrel bending, Lots to do. Buggy workshop weekends Dates TBA.

Programming:

Blood Drive challenge - open to all crews, booking with Red Cross TBA. Numbers needed (Adrian to follow up)

Camps – At least 2 camps, one full pack hike. more info TBA

City Beach – Volley ball (near end of year)

Crew Movie night – Fri 14th Mar

Crew Hike/Camp – 20th – 22nd June

Night Hike w/rover crew – TBA

Crew Bowling – 28th Mar (Shaun)
